As a mechanical engineer (m/f/d) with training as a mechatronics engineer, you are a specialist in the assembly, programming and maintenance of complex mechatronic machines, plants and production systems. You also commission machines and give colleagues instructions on how to operate them. Thanks to your extensive training, you can take on tasks from the fields of mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics as well as electrics, electrical engineering and information technology.
During your training, you will learn to work independently on electrical and mechanical systems. Metalworking and electrical engineering are on your curriculum, as well as the basics of hydraulics, pneumatics and control technology. At the university, you will be trained in both scientific and technical fundamentals. In addition, you will have the opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge in specialist areas such as mechanics, systems engineering or computer science within the framework of optional modules. Since mechatronic systems are becoming increasingly important due to the growing automation of production facilities, the dual study program in mechanical engineering is future-oriented and offers you the best opportunities for a successful professional career.
